Mr. Alfred Aderibigbe, the health assistant who allegedly administered some injections on Mr. Isiaka Adeleke shortly before his death on 23 April, will, today, testify at the coroner’s inquest into the death of the former governor of the Osun State.

The health assistant was billed to testify on Wednesday, but his lawyer, Mr. Lekan Alabi, said he could not do so because of the non-availability of an interpreter. Mr. Aderibigbe, said the lawyer, is not fluent in English, explaining that his client got the notice for an appearance on Wednesday.

At the inquest on Wednesday, Dr. Solaja, a toxicologist, said results of tests conducted on Mr. Adeleke did not indicate poison or traces of heavy metals, but high levels of alcohol, sedatives and painkillers.
