Lawyers have slapped a lawsuit on Apple for prioritising new orders of the iPhone7 over Apple’s Upgrade Program members who can trade in their existing device for a new one.
As per the programme, new iPhones are sold directly to customers in 24 monthly instalments, however, participants are supposed to be able to upgrade every year.
Apple confirmed that programme members will be able to pre-order the iPhone but said nothing about how it would prioritise the orders.
Apple has not provided a comment on the matter as of yet. As per the lawsuit, applicants will have to wait for this year’s phone, & will also have to wait longer next year.
