President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday met the security chiefs in what was believed to be part of efforts aimed at curtailing the security challenges being witnessed across the country.
The meeting, which was also attended by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, was held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The heads of Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Customs Service, Nigeria Fire Service, Federal Road Safety Corps, Nigeria Prisons Service, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps were all in attendance.
None of those who attended the meeting was willing to speak with State House correspondents when approached for comments at the end of the meeting.
When approached, Babagana Monguno, national security adviser, declined to speak with reporters on the outcome of the meeting.
