You have no meaningful project during your eight years as governor, Wike fires back at Amaechi

The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesome Wike has reacted to a claim by the immediate past Governor of the State, Chibuike Amaechi that he (Wike) was commissioning projects he started before leaving office in 2015.

Amaechi had during a reception organized in his honor by the Chiefs and people of Ishimbam General Assembly at Elele in Ikwerre Local Government Area of the State said that Wike was commissioning his projects

But speaking when he received the Governor of Sokoto, Aminu Tambuwal at the Government House in Port Harcourt yesterday, Wike said Amaechi did not have a meaningful project during his eight years as governor.

While addressing the people, Wike said that it was unfortunate that the Minister of Transportation would lie about projects executed by the Rivers government to improve the living conditions of the people.

He said, ”There are several projects which were initiated, constructed and inaugurated by my administration.

“Amaechi didn’t have meaningful projects, that is why he had no projects to inaugurate. We have meaningful projects and we will continue to inaugurate the projects.”
