Nigeria’s anti corruption and financial crimes agency, the EFCC have began an investigation into Senate President Bukola Saraki’s administration as two term Governor of Kwara state.
An EFCC source has revealed to LeadersNG that officials of the anti graft agency are currently in Ilorin to investigate the appropriation of a N17b bond which the former Kwajalein Governor took from some banks during his administration.
The source has also revealed that The EFCC is currently interrogating high level Civil servants and commissioners about the funding of Ilesa -Kisi Kwasu University Diagnostic center, Aviation college, Township road, Water projects and several others.
You would recall that the EFCC had previously investigated this particular allegation during Former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration shortly after Senator Bukola Saraki moved the subsidy motion.
With Saraki’s rising profile and the quickened depth of his Presidential aspirations, It is no surprise that the EFCC is opening this investigation again.
