As Anambrarians go to the poll on Saturday to exercise their franchise in electing a new governor that will pilot the affairs of the state in the next four years, facts have emerged on plans by major political parties in the state to lure voters with stipends in order to cast vote for their respective candidate.
LeadersNG correspondent in the South-East who is monitoring situations in Anambra as events unfold gathered that the outcome of Saturday’s election will be largely decided by who spends the most.
LeadersNG exclusively learned, All Progressives Congress, APC are ready to sway voters with five thousand Naira each with All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA paying three thousand Naira and People’s Democratic Party, PDP paying a paltry sum of one thousand naira.
A chieftain of PDP who pleaded anonymity said, the party is broke and can not pay a huge sum to sway voters.
“Governors elected under the platform of PDP are not willing to help either as many of them see no chances of PDP candidate, Obaze Oseloka ousting the incumbent governor who is seeking for re-election”.
He however opined that the developmental strides of Peter Obi while who is the major backer of Oseloka will sway the minds of voters towards the party.
An APC agent who spoke with leadersNG in Oba said, all party agents, canvasser and mobilizers in different wards and Local governments are going to be mobilized before the end of today.
You would recall that LeadersNG had exclusively reported that APC governors have donated N4.8billion to Tony Nwoye for logistics and mobilization in Saturday’s elections.
