Sheriff should leave @PdpNigeria alone — Ali Kano

Ali Modu Sheriff

The embattled former governor of Borno State, Ali Modu Sheriff, should stop balkanising the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and return to where he came from, a member of the 2015 PDP presidential campaign council, Alhaji Abdullahi Ali Kano, has said.

He said it was clear that the political tide in the opposition party had turned against Sheriff, saying “all the party machinery, including the founding fathers, Board of Trustees, (BoT), National Working Committee (NWC), the women and youth groups are not with him.”

The PDP chieftain from Kano, who said there was no imposition in democracy, added that an “individual cannot willy-nilly impose his whimsicalities on the majority.”

Ali Kano said the former Borno State governor should utilise his time, energy and resources in worthwhile ventures “instead of running from one court to another seeking to cause confusion in the party.”
