Manchester City’s Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho

Manchester City and Super Eagles attacker, Kelechi Iheanacho has assured the fans of the English Premier League side that the club will soon come over from its winless games very soon.

Iheanacho came off the bench to rescue Manchester City from defeat in yesterday’s EPL game against Southampton with a goal in the 55th minute after coming on for Kevin De Bruyne in the second half of the encounter that saw City go one goal behind as early as the 13th minute.

It was his third Premier League goal this season.

The 20-year-old who was not listed for a Champions League loss at Barcelona, came off the bench in the 46th minute and drew City level nine minutes later, when he stabbed home a cross by Leroy Sane.

The draw returned City to the top of the table, but only ahead of Arsenal and Liverpool on goals difference as all three teams are now on 20 points after eight matches.

With the draw also, City coach Pep Guardiola has now gone five games without a win.

”We’re playing well still, but not quite getting the chances. its football,” he said in the post match conference after their game against Southampton.
