Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the People Democratic Party PDP, Delta South Senatorial candidate Micheal Diden, has assured that the people of Delta state will work assiduously for the victory of the party’s Presidential candidate and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar and his running mate Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State.
He stated this during the inauguration of the FCT chapter of Delta Political Vanguard. The Delta Political Vanguard is a group and political machinery of the PDP upon whose wings the Okowa political family soars. The FCT chapter was an effort to strengthen and expand its reach and influence beyond the state.
Speaking at the inauguration of the chapter in Abuja, Diden who also is the Nation chairman of group,explained that the core mandate of the group is to ensure total support and commitment towards the victory of not just the Atiku/Okowa mandate, but also for all members of the Okowa and PDP political family”.
According to him the group was and still a creation for the sole purpose of supporting everything Okowa. He therefore stressed that all efforts and commitment must be geared towards achieving one goal, which is victory for Atiku/Okowa and the entire PDP family come 2023.
He said “ I am appealing to members to always be civil in their engagement and apply love and compassion when trying to woo members into the fold. He called for peaceful cohesion and harmony amongst members, as strife and mistrust can easily destroy the newly formed chapter.
In his remark while swearing in the newly appointed executives of the chapter, the national Vice Chairman of the group, Hon Chief Bashorun Askia Ogieh, admonished them to follow in the footsteps of their National leaders, by showing extreme commitment and dedication to the course. He mandated them to take the gospel of the Atiku/Okowa recovery plan for a better Nigeria, to every nuke and crannies of the FCT and beyond.
Present at the occasion were the National executives of the group, led by the chairman Chief Micheal Diden (Ejele), Hon Bashorun Askia Ogieh, Vice chairman, Chief Lawrence Agbeti, Amb Chief Julius Takeme, Delta south Senatorial Chairman.
