Ifelodun State Constituency in Osun State has suffered immensely from poor representation over the years, looking at the level of deprivation Ifelodun has experienced as a result of what could be described as sheer incompetence. The place of good representation in governance cannot be over-emphasised, hence, time has offered the good people of Ifelodun the long awaited opportunity to support and elect Amb. Amb. Ojo Phillip has always expressed his displeasure over the ugly situation of governance in Ifelodun Constituency which is apparently linked to poor representation.
He said, “our constituency is divinely blessed but what we lack is quality representation.”
“What has really changed? It’s obvious things are getting worse. This is simply because , those we trusted with power were either ignorant of their responsibilities or selfish.
This office largely determines the fate of our constituency as such it is not meant for just anybody. In the good interest of our constituency, this is a very sensitive position of responsibility that goes beyond party but requires the capabilities of those seeking the mandate.” These were his words while addressing hundreds of his supporters in Obaagun, Iba, Eko Ende and Eko Ajala who trooped out as he commences his campaign tour across wards in his constituency.
He went further to say, a good legislator must stand tall to present, sponsor and defend bills that will positively transform his constituency and state at large. Unfortunately reverse is the case in Ifelodun Constituency.
He promised to greatly make positive impacts in the Constituency if trusted with the mandate to serve.
