A lawyer and Chaiftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Jesutega Onokpes has said that common sense should tell the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) that the legal thing to do before attempting to arrest the former governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, was to first set aside the High Court order preventing him from being arrested, detained or prosecuted and that being a federal agency does no make it legal for EFCC to jump an oder concerning a state public servant.
…Says Bello was a State Governor and that the state’s High Court order must be respected.
He disclosed this as a guest on the program “Stand Point” on TVC on Saturday.
