EKEDC Completes Enterprise Upgrade, Resumes Vending Services


Lagos, Nigeria – August 1, 2024: The Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) wishes to inform its esteemed customers of the successful completion of essential technical upgrades and the full restoration of vending services, following recent disruptions experienced between July 30th and August 1st, 2024.
The disruptions were due to an unfortunate technical issue in our upgrade process, which impacted our customers’ ability to purchase prepaid electricity units for a short term. We sincerely regret the distress this caused and sincerely appreciate the understanding of our customers during this period.
We are pleased to announce that our technical team has resolved the issue. We now look forward to rolling out an improved customer experience, which includes enhanced electricity consumption management both onsite and remote using mobile devices.
