Fake palliatives: Edo APC’s attempt to discredit PDP government exposed as false [VIDEO]

An attempt by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to tarnish the reputation of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) )-led government in Edo State has been exposed as a false narrative ahead of the forthcoming governorship election.

The controversy began when Lucky Onobo, an APC chieftain, circulated a video alleging that palliatives—specifically bags of rice—stored by the state government were being looted from the residence of a PDP leader.

This claim was aimed at discrediting the administration of Governor Godwin Obaseki and painting the PDP in a negative light.

However, a social media influencer conducted an investigation and debunked the APC’s claims.

In a follow-up video, the influencer revealed that the location cited as the house of a PDP leader was a school. Additionally, the bags being carried were identified as maize, not rice as alleged by Onobo.

The influencer’s video showed that the APC’s claims were a deliberate attempt at stage-managing a scandal to undermine the Obaseki-led government.

“The APC has nothing substantial to campaign with except propaganda and lies,” the influencer stated.

The revelation has sparked outrage among residents in the state and raised concerns about the lengths to which political factions will go to manipulate public perception.

The exposure of this falsehood comes at a critical time, with both major parties vying for support and striving to influence public opinion.

The influencer residents of the state to be wary of the APC, stressing that the party has failed to campaign on issues, but rather resorted to propaganda and lies.
