NIGERIA’S INTELLIGENCE CHIEF RESIGNS

Nigeria’s Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, has resigned after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu on Saturday.

Abubakar, who was appointed by former President Muhammadu Buhari in 2018, said Tinubu accepted his resignation after a routine briefing at the presidential villa.

Abubakar, cited personal reasons for his resignation but emphasized his continued commitment to Nigeria’s security.

He expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for the opportunity to serve and for the confidence placed in him.
