Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency representative, Hon. Akin Alabi, has delivered a significant infrastructure boost to the Anuoluwapo community in Kumapayi Zone A, Adeleye village, by installing a 500KVA transformer. This intervention comes after eight years of prolonged power outages, which had left the community in hardship, severely affecting local businesses and residents’ quality of life. The new transformer is expected to restore electricity to the area, offering a renewed sense of hope and economic revival.
During the official handover, Hon. Alabi emphasized his commitment to ensuring that the people of his constituency receive the benefits of democracy through adequate representation and improved infrastructure. “As representatives, it is our duty to bring the dividends of democracy to the people. Electricity is a basic need, and after so many years without power, the Anuoluwapo community deserves this intervention. We are committed to ensuring that no community is left behind,” Hon. Alabi said.
In addition to the transformer delivered to Anuoluwapo, Hon. Alabi also supplied transformers to the Ogbaba community, which will directly impact neighboring areas such as Agoo, Olufon, and Onkeke. Another transformer was installed at Olubadan Estate, bringing much-needed power relief to residents there. These efforts are part of a broader plan to address infrastructural challenges in Egbeda/Ona Ara and ensure that residents receive essential services.
Local leaders and residents expressed their gratitude for the lawmaker’s swift intervention, noting that access to electricity would bring immense benefits to schools, businesses, and general living conditions.
