In a bid to bolster the sporting framework of his campaign, the Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign council has appointed Honorable Adebayo Abayomi, widely known as NFA, as the Chairman of the Special Interest Committee on Sports for his Governorship Campaign Council.
Honorable Abayomi brings a wealth of experience to the position, having previously served as Special Assistant on Information Technology to former Governor Olusegun Mimiko and has held influential roles within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), including that of State Youth Leader. A certified Project Manager based in the UK, Abayomi is also the current President of the Ondo State All Stars Veteran Football Association, with Branches across the Eighteen Local Government Areas of Ondo State, a position that highlights his dedication to promoting sports at the grassroots level.
Additionally, the committee will benefit from the expertise of Henry Babatunde, a former General Manager of the Sports Council and Patron of the Ondo All Stars, who has been appointed as the Secretary of the Committee. His extensive background in sports management will be invaluable in supporting the committee’s initiatives.
The establishment of this committee reflects Governor Aiyedatiwa’s vision for a vibrant sports culture in Ondo State, aimed at engaging youth and fostering talent through organized sports programs.
As the campaign progresses, both Abayomi, Babatunde and other members of the committee, are expected to drive strategic initiatives that will mobilise the sports community, towards ensuring the victory of Governor Aiyedatiwa,in the November 16, Governorship election in Ondo state.
