Gunmen Kidnap Retired AIG Hakeem Odumosu’s Wife In Ogun

Masked gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted Mrs. Odumosu, the wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Hakeem Odumosu.

The incident occurred on Friday morning at the gate of her residence in the Arepo area of Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area, Ogun State, as she was returning home from an outing.

According to eyewitness accounts, Mrs. Odumosu was attacked by four masked men who shot sporadically into the air to scare off onlookers.

She was said to have been forcibly removed from her Lexus Jeep and whisked away through a swampy area to an unknown location.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Ogun State Police Command, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Omolola Odutola, said the command has deployed operatives to secure her release.

“Information was received regarding the kidnapping of Mrs. Odumosu, a female resident of Aminu Street, Arepo, Ogun State,” she stated.

She said that the Divisional Police Officer is leading a team of Police officers to comb the swampy area for the victim and the abductors.
