
Former President Muhammadu Buhari has died in the London.
Details of his death is still sketchy as at the time of filing this report.
His former Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Garba confirmed his death in a post on X on Sunday.
“The family of the former president has announced the passing on of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, this afternoon in a clinic in London.
May Allah accept him in Aljannatul Firdaus, Amin.” The post read
Buhari was hospitalized and later admitted to an intensive care unit (ICU) in London on July 3, 2025.
The nature of the ailment was not disclosed.
Buhari’s absence at the 50th anniversary celebration of ECOWAS in Lagos on May 28 drew attention.
In a letter addressed to President Bola Tinubu, he attributed his absence to medical commitments in the UK.
