
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board has temporarily suspended its recruitment portal to enhance system performance and manage the growing influx of applications.
In a statement issued Wednesday, the Secretary to the Board, Maj. Gen. AM Jibril (retd.) announced that the suspension affects all applications to the board’s paramilitary agencies.
Jibril explained that the portal will remain inactive until Monday, July 21, 2025, to allow for necessary adjustments that will ensure a smoother and more efficient recruitment process.
He noted that the development will ensure that the portal accommodates the high volume of applications while guaranteeing a smooth, transparent, and fair recruitment process.
The board expressed appreciation to Nigerians for their keen interest in joining the services and reiterated its commitment to a fair and merit-based selection process.
“We appreciate the enthusiasm and interest of young Nigerians to serve their country through these vital agencies.
“We remain committed to ensuring a fair and transparent recruitment process.
“The suspension affects agencies under the CDCFIB, including the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigerian Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, and Nigerian Correctional Service.
“The board advised applicants to monitor the portal and submit their applications promptly when the system reopens on July 21,” the statement read
