
– The Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, today reaffirmed the company’s commitment to transforming Nigeria’s oil and gas industry, unveiling a new business model centered on value creation, competitiveness, and operational efficiency.
Speaking at the Petroleum & Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) Energy and Labour Summit (PEALS 2025) in Abuja, Ojulari outlined a strategic vision to bolster the sector’s resilience amid global energy transition challenges. In his keynote address, he emphasized that achieving sustainability requires more than boosting production volumes.
“Resilience in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector demands operational excellence, responsible governance, and stronger partnerships with stakeholders,” he said.
The PEALS 2025 Summit convened senior government officials, industry leaders, labour representatives, and key stakeholders to discuss strategies for strengthening Nigeria’s oil and gas industry. The event focused on navigating the pressures of the global shift toward cleaner energy while maintaining the sector’s economic significance.
