The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), Dr. Cyril Yiltsen Tsenyil, FCNA, has led a delegation from the Commission on a condolence visit to the Senate Minority Leader, Distinguished Senator Abba Moro, over the tragic loss of his son, Peter Abba Moro, and grandson, Abba Moro Jnr.
The visit, which took place at Senator Moro’s residence in Abuja, was on behalf of the Board and Management of the Commission.
Speaking during the visit, Dr. Tsenyil conveyed the heartfelt condolences of the entire NCDC family to Senator Moro and his household, describing the loss as deeply painful and irreparable.
A statement made available to newsmen in Jos reads that he noted that the Commission shares in the grief of the distinguished Senator, who has remained a pillar of support and an esteemed statesman within the North Central region and the nation at large.
“We are here to commiserate with you and your family on behalf of the Board and Management of the North Central Development Commission. The entire NCDC community mourns with you over this tragic loss. You have been a strong voice and instrumental in the establishment and legislative framework of our Commission. We pray that God Almighty will comfort you, grant you the fortitude to bear this loss, and give eternal rest to the departed,” Dr. Tsenyil stated.
He further acknowledged Senator Moro’s immense contributions to the growth and development of the North Central region, noting that his role in the creation of the NCDC remains indelible.
In his response, Senator Abba Moro expressed deep appreciation to Dr. Tsenyil and the NCDC delegation for the visit, describing their presence as a source of comfort during this difficult period.
He said the family is deeply grieved but submits to the will of God who gives and takes life.
The NCDC MD/CEO was accompanied by the Executive Director Corporate Services Hon. James Uloko, Hon. Solomon Adodo, Board Member Representing the FCT as well as Alh Zakari Haliru Jikantoro representing Niger State in the Commission.
