Says I remain a dedicated, Proud APC Member
By Golok Nanmwa
Executive Chairman of Agatu local government council of Benue state Hon Ambassador James Melvin Ejeh on Friday described as false and basless report been peddled by his distractors that he is collaborating with the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Our correspondent reports that Hon Ejeh is also the deputy ALGON Chairman Benue state.
He said he remains a dedicated member of the All Progressive Congress APC in the state.
Hon Ejeh who is loved by his people and has been working tirelessly to move his local government council to greater heights in a statement reads that
“My attention has been drawn to a malicious, false, and politically motivated report circulating on social media, alleging that I, Hon. (Amb.) James Melvin Ejeh, Chairman of Agatu Local Government Council and a proud member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is “working underground for the African Democratic Congress (ADC).”
He added that “This reckless publication, authored by faceless political mercenaries and syndicated by desperate propagandists, represents a new low in the politics of blackmail, deceit, and character assassination.”
Hon Ejeh said “It is the handiwork of those who have failed to gain relevance in Agatu and Benue South and now seek to manufacture lies to create confusion and weaken the solid APC structure built under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia, Governor of Benue State.”
The statement reads that
A BASELESS FABRICATION AND POLITICAL BLACKMAIL
Let me state unequivocally and for the record: I have never, at any time, in any form, or through any proxy, held a meeting with Dr David Mark, Hon. John Ngbede, or any official of the ADC.
The concocted story of “secret visits” is nothing but fiction written by idle minds and peddled by failed politicians who see the strength of the APC in Agatu as a threat to their ambition.
On the alleged “Monday meeting,” it is a matter of public record that I, along with all 23 local government chairmen in Benue State, was in Jos, Plateau State, attending a budget planning conference throughout that period. Anyone in doubt can verify this with official records and photographs of the event.
These fabricators clearly lack both imagination and integrity. To suggest that I, the sitting chairman of an APC-controlled council under an APC-led government at both state and federal levels, would “surrender” to an opposition party that has neither structure nor followership in Agatu, is not only laughable but deeply insulting.
MY LOYALTY IS UNDIVIDED AND UNQUESTIONABLE
I remain a loyal disciple of Governor Hyacinth Alia, and I am fully committed to his Development Agenda for Benue State. My administration in Agatu has consistently aligned with his vision of inclusive governance, infrastructural transformation, and grassroots empowerment.
Those who think they can drive a wedge between me and my Governor are wasting their time. My loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and to His Excellency is total, firm, and unshakable.
MESSAGE TO THE MISCHIEF MAKERS
This latest smear campaign will fail, just like all previous attempts to malign my image have failed. The people of Agatu are familiar with me; they know my political history, my consistency, and my record of service.
Let it be known that no amount of blackmail, fake reports, or political propaganda will distract me from the responsibility of delivering good governance to my people. Those hiding behind anonymous social media pages to spread lies should prepare to face the full weight of the law.
REASSURANCE TO THE PEOPLE OF AGATU
To my beloved people of Agatu, I remain firmly committed to our shared progress and the trust you have placed in me. I will continue to work hand-in-hand with Governor Alia’s administration to bring lasting development, peace, and prosperity to our local government.
Our unity in the APC is unbreakable. Our faith in Governor Alia’s leadership is unwavering. And our commitment to Benue’s future remains stronger than the noise of desperate detractors.
“No weapon formed against truth shall prosper. Lies may trend for a moment, but truth will always prevail.”
ON LOYALTY TO THE APC, PRESIDENT TINUBU, AND GOVERNOR ALIA’S TRANSFORMATIVE AGENDA
As a committed member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), I remain fully aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Transformative Development Agenda of His Excellency, Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia.
Governor Alia’s transformative leadership in Benue State is unprecedented—visionary, people-centred, and result-driven. His record of performance inspires absolute confidence in our great party’s victory in the 2027 general elections.
By the grace of God, and through the collective commitment of all stakeholders, critical party leaders, and the good people of Agatu, the APC shall deliver an overwhelming victory to Governor Alia, President Tinubu, and all our candidates come 2027.
The elections are already won in principle in Agatu, from bottom to top, because our people are fully aware of the progress and transformation being delivered under the APC government.
Let me state clearly that we have no dealings or affiliation with the ADC or any other opposition party. It would be sheer foolishness to abandon a party that has a sitting President, a sitting Governor, and a functioning structure across all levels, for a party without legitimacy, structure, or grassroots presence.
Such insinuations are not only false but also insulting to my person and to the intelligence of our people.
My loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Hyacinth Alia, and our great party, the APC, is unwavering and cast in stone. No amount of propaganda or political mischief by desperate elements can shake this commitment.
Come 2027, by the grace of God, I, Hon. Melvin Ejeh, together with all critical stakeholders, shall deliver Agatu Local Government solidly for Governor Alia, President Tinubu, and the APC from bottom to top.
As we move forward, our focus remains on consolidating the achievements of the present administration and advancing the transformative vision that continues to bring hope, progress, and prosperity to Benue State and Nigeria at large.
