All Progressives Congress Youth Vanguard on Tuesday passed a vote of confidence on the National Chairman of the party Prof Nentawe Yilwatda .
They also described as laughable a group sponsored by the opposition which gave the Chairman two weeks to resign.
They also condemned a two-week ultimatum issued to the party’s National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, calling for his resignation .
Addressing Journalist in Jos Mr Markus Maikor the leader of the group said we urged the National Chairman of the APC not to be distracted but to remain focused and concentrated on the best way to move the party forward.
”We particularly condemned the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau for engaging in deliberate campaign of calumny and falsehood on Prof Nentawe.”
”Since Prof Nentawe was sworn in as National Chairman of our great party ,he has been making consultations with stakeholders around the country to move the APC forward.”
“Our National Chairman Prof Nentawe is working so hard and so far he is taking the party to greater heights.”
’ He has provided strategic Leadership and representation since assuming office ” they added .
The group also said Prof Nentawe is daily providing overall direction for the party’s political, organizational, and administrative affairs.
”The members of opposition are not happy with the achievements of the National Chairman and have now resorted to propaganda which we believe is dead on arrival.”
The Group described the ultimatum as uncalled for, uncouth, and lacking merit.
We are very confident that our National Chairman would continue to remain focused in driving the APC to victory in the forthcoming 2027 Presidential election as well as win more states for the party .
The APC Youth Vanguard also commended the APC Chairman for winning several key stakeholders to the party .
”Under Prof Nentawe as APC National Chairman,the Senate and Federal House of representatives has over two third of their members as members of our dear party .”
”So far several Governors have joined our party ,with others indicating interest to come on board soon .”
The Governors who have decamped so far from the opposition to the APC are Peter Mbah (Enugu State),and Governor
Douye Diri of Baylesa state .
“Any group or an individual who is calling on our national chairman to resign or they will embark on protest, is not a member of APC.
The group commended the exceptional performance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting his efforts in resetting Nigeria’s path toward economic prosperity.
We would continue to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is our candidate for the 2027 Presidential election as well as our National Chairman Prof Nentawe at all times ,they added .
