AS Uvuru Autonomous Community awaits the crowing of His Royal Highness Eze Iheanacho Chinyereze Mbalewe as Ezeoha III of Uvuru, expectations are high that he would transform the community for the good of all.
“He is one of us. He has always cared for us. Even when he was living abroad, he did not stop being involved in the affairs of Uvuru,” said a community leader, who sought anonymity, since his views were personal.
“People can list things he has done for Uvuru. We also know he understands the challenges that our community faces. We’re confident that he would tackle them.
“We expect that he would make Uvuru better taking advantage of his exposure and sojourns abroad.”
According to the community leader, the people would give him all the support he needs to succeed. “When he succeeds,” the community leader said, “we have succeeded”.
The 27 December 2025 coronation of HRH Eze Chinyereze Mbalewe as the Ezeoha III of Uvuru Autonomous Community in Aboh-Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, which holds on Uvuru’s annual cultural day (Okwunakuwa Day),
will be marked with pump and pageantry, the planning committee has announced.
HRH Eze Iheanacho Chinyereze Mbalewe is coming to the throne with experience that fuels expectations about his performance. For over 22 years, he was a prominent member of the Ezeoha Uvuru Cabinet, holding the revered title of Nnanyereugo Obioha of Uvuru Ikedinairi.
He has played critical roles in diverse professional fields and economic sectors, including banking, car hiring/fleet management, real estate, and social/public services. He has attended several senior management courses, which have enhanced his versatility, sharpened his perspectives as a global leader and helped him to adopt best practices as a manager of people and other critical resources.
Eze Iheanacho Mbalewe has pioneered many development projects in the community. His greatest desire is the entrenchment of peace in Uvuru and sustained upliftment of the economic fortune of every citizen, especially the youth, for whom he has already developed a template.
He builds bridges across age groups and social strata, thus uniting his subjects for the common good. He envisions Uvuru Autonomous Community that is prosperous and progressive, “where our children make giant strides in education, sports and other endeavours, and where God, community and fellow citizens matter the most”.
