The All Progressives Congress (APC) Adamawa State chapter has accused some state leaders of embezzling N15 million and a truckload of palliatives donated to executives by the former Minister of Education, Prof Tahir Mamman.
According to Mrs. Patricia Yakubu, the APC State Women Leader In a petition addressed to the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the donation was intended for the “benefit” of the party executives but it was mismanaged and remains unaccounted for.
Mrs. Yakubu detailed how the former minister’s Christmas gift of N15million was distributed unjustly.
In her petition obtained by SaharaReporters, she said, “That sometime in December 2023, the former Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman SAN equally gave the Party Executives 15 million Naira for Christmas but only Fifty Thousand naira (=N-50,000) was given to each Exco (which is less than 2 million naira) therefore the deficit remains unaccounted for.”
Additionally, Mrs. Yakubu highlighted allegations surrounding the distribution of palliative items, including rice and fertiliser, provided by the NSA and the former minister.
These accusations have raised concerns of misappropriation and fraud within the APC’s Adamawa chapter, which has faced a string of financial irregularities, as outlined in the petition.

Mrs. Yakubu called on the NSA to intervene in these matters, as she believes the actions of certain members of the State Working Committee could damage the integrity of the party.
