In celebration of Happy International Students day ,Comrade Prince Miaphen
Former NANS Vice President and Former Acting NANS President is set to empower less privileged students in various tertiary schools in the country.
Comrade Prince Maiphen who spoke to our correspondent said ” I celebrate all Nigerian students at home and across the world on this year’s International Students’ Day.
“You remain the heartbeat of our nation’s future and the community that shaped my journey in activism and leadership.”
He added that ‘ In the spirit of the day, and as a token of my continued solidarity with the Nigerian student movement, I will be giving out ₦1,000,000 to 100 lucky students nationwide
He added that ” Today, as the world marks International Students’ Day, I join millions of students and youth leaders to celebrate an exceptional comrade, a visionary leader, and a shining symbol of modern student activism — Comrade Olushola Ladoja, National President of NANS.
Having served the Nigerian student community during my active days , even aspiring twice for the NANS Presidency with a clear vision to return NANS to campus and restore its lost glory .
I say without hesitation that Comrade Ladoja is one of the best things that has happened to our organization in recent generations.
Under his watch, NANS has truly come alive again:
He has taken NANS back to campus, reconnecting the union with its true constituency.
He has embarked on nationwide campus and facility tours, listening to students directly and advocating for their welfare.
He has courageously bridged the gap between the old and new generations of the student movement, fostering unity, continuity, and renewed purpose.
This year’s theme — “Empowering Students to Be Agents of Change” could not be more fitting. Comrade Ladoja embodies this ideal through his commitment to empowering Nigerian students, championing their rights, and amplifying their voices at every opportunity. He has restored dignity to the struggle and revived the spirit of constructive activism we once knew.
Mr. President, I give you your flowers 🌹 today and always.
As you enter the second quarter of your presidency, I wish you greater strength, wisdom, and historic achievements in service to the Nigerian student movement Prince Maiphen added.
