BREAKING: PDP Leadership Uncovers Alleged Plot by Gov. Seyi Makinde Others to Disrupt Emergency BoT/NEC Meetings Tomorrow
The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under the leadership of the Acting National Chairman, Alhaji Abdulrahman Mohammed has raised an alarm over what it describes as a carefully orchestrated plot by Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, Mr. Adeyemi Moyegun, and others to violently disrupt the party’s emergency Board of Trustees (BoT) and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings scheduled to hold tomorrow, Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja.
In a statement issued this evening by the Party’s leadership and made available to the press, the party disclosed that credible intelligence reports available to the leadership indicate that Governor Seyi Makinde has allegedly sponsored and mobilized political thugs and miscreants with the sole aim of causing chaos, destroying property, and preventing the legitimate organs of the party from convening.
“The PDP has been made aware of desperate plans by certain individuals, including Governor Seyi Makinde, one Adeyemi Moyegun and others to import hired thugs into Abuja to attack our party’s national headquarters and disrupt tomorrow’s crucial BoT and NEC emergency meetings,” the statement read in part.
The party warned that any attempt to breach the peace at Wadata Plaza or interfere with the lawful activities of the PDP will be met with the full wrath of the law.
“Security and law enforcement agencies have been placed on red alert. Any person or group found perpetrating violence or attempting to disrupt the scheduled meetings will face severe consequences under the law. The PDP will not tolerate acts of hooliganism or intimidation from any quarter,” the statement emphasized.
The emergency BoT and NEC meetings are expected to deliberate on critical national and party issues, including the ongoing leadership crisis and preparations for future elections.
As at the time of filing this report, neither Governor Seyi Makinde nor his media team has responded to the allegations.
More details to follow as the situation develops.
