Comrade Miaphen Congratulates Hon. Bature on Emergence as Plateau APC Chairman, Lauds Gov. Mutfwang’s Inclusive Leadership
Prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and youth leader, Hon. Prince Miaphen, has congratulated Hon. Rufus Bature on his successful emergence as the Chairman of the APC in Plateau State.
In a statement issued on Tuesday Hon. Miaphen described Bature’s victory as a well-deserved affirmation of his dedication, administrative competence, and unwavering commitment to the party’s growth and unity in the state.
He noted that Bature’s leadership has been instrumental in strengthening the APC’s foothold in Plateau, particularly amid recent political realignments, including the historic defection of Governor Caleb Mutfwang to the party.
“Hon. Rufus Bature’s emergence as our state chairman is a clear testament to his track record of selfless service, bridge-building, and progressive politics. Under his stewardship, the APC in Plateau has continued to expand, foster inclusivity, and position itself as the leading platform for good governance and development,” Miaphen stated.
The APC stalwart particularly commended Governor Caleb Mutfwang for what he described as his exemplary “fatherly role” in steering the affairs of the state and ensuring that every segment of society is carried along.
Miaphen highlighted the governor’s inclusive approach, which has promoted peace, reconciliation, and collective progress across ethnic and religious divides since his assumption of office—and especially following his integration into the APC family.
“Governor Caleb Mutfwang has demonstrated true statesmanship by carrying everyone along, irrespective of background or political affiliation.
His fatherly disposition has united diverse interests and strengthened the bond between the government and the people.
This spirit of inclusivity is what our party and state need at this critical time, and I commend him for leading by example,” he added.
Hon. Miaphen urged all APC members and supporters in Plateau to rally behind Chairman Bature and Governor Mutfwang to consolidate the party’s gains, deliver on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda at the state level, and prepare for greater electoral successes ahead.
He expressed confidence that with continued unity and focused leadership, the APC would remain the dominant force for positive change in Plateau State.
