Comrade Prince Miaphen, a prominent youth leader and activist, has formally declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat representing Qua’anpan/Shendam/Mikang Federal Constituency in the 11th National Assembly.
Miaphen made the declaration in a statement issued on Tuesday, citing his long-standing experience in leadership, activism, and service at state and national levels.I
n the statement, he expressed deep humility and unwavering faith in God while outlining his vision for the constituency.
“My journey in leadership began early, from my formative years in primary and secondary school, through my time in the university, and across various platforms where I have had the privilege to serve under seasoned leaders,” he said.
The aspirant, who has built a reputation as a social crusader and youth mobiliser, pledged to bring innovation, energy, integrity, and intellectual depth to governance if given the mandate.
He said his priorities would include attracting tangible federal projects to the constituency, particularly in education, healthcare, agriculture, rural development, and entrepreneurship.
“I am particularly passionate about empowering our youths and women through sustainable programs that create opportunities, build capacity, and promote self-reliance,” Miaphen added.
He further pledged to serve with the fear of God, guided by honesty, accountability, and genuine commitment to the welfare of the people.
He also reaffirmed his support for the policies and programmes of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu under the Renewed Hope Agenda, as well as alignment with Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang’s “Time Is Now” Agenda for the development of the state.
.Describing his bid as “a call to service and a commitment to our future,” Miaphen urged the people of Qua’anpan, Shendam, and Mikang to join him in building a constituency that works for everyone.
Our correspondent reports that Miaphen, a former student union leader with experience at the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), is seen as a grassroots mobiliser with strong networks across Plateau State.
