Jos – National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, on Saturday participated in the party’s presidential primary election at Ampang East Ward in Kanke Local Government Area of Plateau State, as the ruling party commenced its nationwide primaries.
The exercise drew party stakeholders, accredited delegates and supporters, who gathered peacefully at the venue in line with the party’s guideline.
Yilwatda, who cast his vote amid tight but orderly arrangements, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of party members, commending them for their discipline and peaceful participation throughout the process.
He described the primary election as a critical democratic exercise that underscores the strength and unity of the APC as it prepares for the 2027 general elections.
According to him, the calm and coordinated atmosphere witnessed in Ampang East Ward reflects the commitment of party faithful to internal democracy and credible electoral processes.
Our correspondent reportd that the voting exercise proceeded without incident, with a large turnout of members who came out to observe and take part in the process.
