The Integrity Youth Alliance (IYA) has declared its support for the re-election bid of Rep. Bamidele Salam, praising his performance in office as a clear demonstration of purposeful and people-oriented representation.
In a press statement issued on Saturday, the Board Chair of the alliance, Kehinde Adewole, said the lawmaker’s achievements in education, youth empowerment, and community development have earned him widespread admiration and support among students and young people across the E4 Federal Constituency.
The constituency comprises Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo local government areas of Osun State.
According to the alliance, Rep. Salam has distinguished himself through impactful programmes and initiatives that have directly improved the lives of students and youths within the constituency.
The group specifically highlighted the lawmaker’s interventions under the BS-E4 Education Support Programmes, noting that thousands of students have benefitted from bursary awards, scholarship schemes, free JAMB forms, summer coaching classes, computer training initiatives, and mentorship opportunities.
IYA further commended the federal lawmaker for introducing a ₦20 million scholarship and educational support scheme targeted at indigent students, as well as annual free UTME preparatory classes designed to improve academic performance and access to higher education.
The alliance also praised Rep. Salam for sponsoring students from the constituency to attend national leadership conferences in Abuja and for distributing educational materials to schools and students across the constituency.
Speaking on the lawmaker’s support for youth and student organisations, the alliance disclosed that Rep. Salam recently provided a ₦5 million grant to support the continuation of the association’s secretariat project.
According to the group, the gesture reflects his commitment to institutional development, youth inclusion, and the advancement of educational initiatives.
The alliance stated that the lawmaker’s interventions have contributed significantly to educational development and have strengthened youth participation in leadership and community-building efforts within the constituency.
“At a time when many young people seek leaders who can deliver tangible results, Rep. Bamidele Salam has continued to demonstrate commitment through programmes and initiatives that directly impact students and communities,” the statement read.
The group therefore called on residents, stakeholders, and eligible voters across the E4 Federal Constituency to support the lawmaker’s return to the House of Representatives, stressing that continuity in leadership would help consolidate and expand the achievements already recorded.
The alliance also urged political actors and stakeholders to maintain peace, civility, and issue-based engagement throughout the political process, emphasizing the need for a peaceful and constructive democratic atmosphere ahead of future elections.
