2027- ADC Governorship Candidate Jude Dakur Hails Plateau Party Unity, Meets Youths
The Plateau State Governorship Candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, for the 2027 general elections, Jude Dakur, has described the recent reconciliation and coming together of different factions within the party as a major victory for the party, Plateau State and Nigeria.
Dakur, who spoke during an interaction with youths and stakeholders in Jos, particularly applauded the coming together of the factions associated with former Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Solomon Dalung, and Hannatu Gagara faction .
He said the reconciliation had brought an end to divisions that had lingered within the party for several months and marked the beginning of a stronger and more united ADC in Plateau State.
The governorship candidate described the development as a demonstration of maturity and commitment by leaders and members of the party to place the collective interest of Plateau State above personal differences.
Addressing the youths, Dakur urged them to remain actively involved in the political process and support credible leaders capable of driving meaningful development in the state.
He said young people remained critical stakeholders in the future of Plateau State and Nigeria and must take their rightful place in the democratic process.
“This is a victory not just for the African Democratic Congress in Plateau State, but for the people of Plateau and indeed Nigeria.
“The coming together of the various factions after several months of differences demonstrates maturity, sacrifice and a shared commitment to building a strong political platform for the future,” Dakur said.
He called on members and supporters of the party to sustain the spirit of unity, reconciliation and collective responsibility, stressing that the ADC could only achieve its objectives through unity and commitment.
Dakur further called on the people of Plateau State, particularly youths, to support the ADC in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
He assured that the party was committed to providing purposeful leadership, promoting peace and unity, and addressing the developmental challenges confronting the people.
The ADC governorship candidate expressed optimism that with a united party structure and the support of the electorate, the party would emerge as a formidable political force in Plateau State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
