Asue Ighodalo mourns Dan Orbih
Former Edo State governorship candidate, Dr Asue Ighodalo, has expressed sadness over the death of Chief Dan Orbih, a former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State.
Orbih, 64, died in London on Monday after a brief illness.
In a condolence message, Ighodalo acknowledged that while he and Orbih might have had their differences, they shared a warm relationship and mutual respect.
“I am deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Chief Dan Orbih, Kulukulu 1.
“Regardless of our differences, we shared a genuine warmth and mutual respect, and I will remember him with much affection,” Ighodalo said.
He extended his condolences to Orbih’s wife, family and others mourning his death.
“My deep and sincere condolences to his lovely wife, his family, and all those who loved him.
“May his soul rest in perfect peace,” he added.
Chief Daniel Osi Orbih was a prominent figure in Edo State politics and a long-standing member of the PDP. He served as chairman of the Edo State chapter of the party for more than a decade and later as the PDP National Vice Chairman for the South-South.
At the time of his death, he was Chairman of the Governing Council of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.
Orbih hailed from Ogbona in Etsako Central Local Government Area of Edo State.
