Reports had it that more than 25 passengers boarded the flight around 6pm at the Murtala Mohammed Airport In Lagos State, South-West Nigeria.

Efforts by our Reporter to reach the management of the airline for confirmation have not been successful. However, one of Nollywood’s actresses, Uche Elendu, who was one of the passengers says they escaped death.

Elendu who immediately after the incident posted on her social media accounts berated the airline’s crew, saying they were 10 minutes away from landing at the Asaba Airport when the gear of the aircraft failed

She further narrates her terrifying experience that the pilot attempted to return to Lagos before the unfortunate crash landing at the remote area near the Asaba Airport.

She said one of the male air hosts had told her at the beginning of the flight to place her luggage under the seat that it will save her in case of a crash but she stopped him from further making any negatively comment.

As at the time of filing this report, ait.live gathered that the airline had made an alternative means of transportation, to convey the passengers in a bus to the airport terminal.
