RESULT FORGERY: Mmesoma Apologizes to JAMB

The Candidate of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board  who forged her 2023 unified tertiary matriculation examination result has apologized to the examination body.

The 19 year old student said that she felt the pain for letting down JAMB with the forgery and the controversy over her score in the examination.

Mmesoma, spoke when she  appeared before an ad hoc committee of the House of Representatives investigating the alleged forgery of result on Wednesday.

While tendering her apology, the 19 year old pleaded with the body for mercy over the three year ban placed in her.

“I feel a debt of pain for letting you down.

“I had already admitted that what I did was wrong. Based on that, I hereby presented to you all, my letter of apology.

“I humbly seek your forgiveness for the mistakes I have made and the pain I have caused.

“I deeply and sincerely agree that I ignorantly got my JAMB result from another portal which was not a JAMB portal.

“I apologise for all the apportioned blame and all the pain I have caused.”

The JAMB registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, who appeared before the committee stated that the examination body was vindicated.

He said that since he took over the leadership of JANB about six and a half years ago, there has never been any case of successful forgery of its examination results.

He said that Mmesoma deliberately colluded with some persons to carry out the nefarious action.

In May, Mmesoma, a student of Anglican Girls Secondary School in Nnewi, Anambra state, has forged her UTME result to give herself 362 which was the overall best in the country.

Mmesoma was celebrated across Nigeria and was given a scholarship of N3 million by the Owner of Innodon Motors, Mr Innocent Chukwuma.

But a panel set up to investigate the ugly incident by the Anambra State Government indicted Mmesoma saying she confessed to forging the result.
