The lawmaker representing Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Akin Alabi, has urged the newly inaugurated Chairman of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Isaac Omodewu, to work assiduously in uniting party members across the state.
The lawmaker also told the chairman to count on his support.
Congratulating Omodewu on his inauguration via a post on his Twitter page on Friday, Alabi tasked the new chairman to hit the ground running by bringing all warring factions together to ensure the party’s success during 2023 general elections.
Recall that state chairmen who emerged from the congress congresses conducted in October 2021, were sworn-in on Thursday by the Mai Mala Buni-led Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee of the APC at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
The tweet read: “Congratulations to the newly sworn in chairman of the APC in Oyo State, Hon Isaac Omodewu. A progressive to the core.
“My dear Chairman. The work has just started. Your first assignment will be to bring all warring factions together so we can present a United front in the coming polls.
“From my side, you can count on my support.”
