16 of the abducted students of the Federal University of Gusau, Zamfara State, have returned.
Recall that this news medium had reported that gunmen invaded the institution on Friday and abducted some of the female students after breaking into their hostels. They were reportedly engaged in a gun battle by troops on their way but still managed to make away with the abducted students.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had on Sunday given a marching order to security agencies to ensure the remaining abducted students were rescued.
It was not clear as of the time of filing this report if the students escaped or were rescued by security agents.
