As the preparations for the 2023 General Elections continue to dominate conversations on social media, former President Dr. Goodluck Jonathan has defeated former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar in a Twitter poll.
The poll had asked respondents to choose between Alhaji Atiku Abubakar on the PDP platform and Dr. Goodluck Jonathan on the APC platform.
In the poll which was conducted by foremost Poll Index platform Cable Index on social media micro-blogging application, Twitter, Jonathan polled 52% of votes from respondents as against 48% to Atiku.
The breakdown of the results shows that out of 12, 454 participants, 5,997 (48%) chose Atiku Abubakar while 6, 476 were in favour of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.
The victory comes against the backdrop of growing calls for Dr. Jonathan to run as President on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)
