EKOI ASSOCIATION OF NORTH AMERICA DONATES MEDICAL FACILITIES WORTH MILLIONS OF NAIRA.

The Ekoi Association of North America in her medical outreach has donated medical facilities/equipment worth millions of Naira to three selected Local Government Areas of Cross River State via Ikom Primary Healthcare Centre, Ikom, Ogoja Healthcare Centre, Egbe and Yakurr Primary Healthcare Centre, Ugep.

Addressing the beneficiaries during the presentation, the President of the Association, Prof. Tony Agbehdescribed the Organization as a non-profitable sociocultural organization, aimed at bringing out Diaspora Sons and Daughters together to enhance wellbeing, engaging on matters patterning  to the welfare, peaceful coexistence, conflict resolution and the improvement of the desolate living conditions of the people in their homeland as good health is synonymous to wellness and prosperity. Decrying the deteriorating medical standard in their homeland, Prof. Agbeh who was represented by the OgojaContact Person, Hon. Sonnie Okem said their contribution could stand in as an intervention to cushion the medical needs of the indigents in the rural communities. 

He enjoined the Officers of the benefiting Health facilities to effectively dispense the medical items as expected, while the sick should take advantage by accessing them according to specification.

Receiving the items at Ogoja Health Centre, Egbe, the Representative of the Primary Health Care Coordinator, Mrs. Mary Egede, the Community Chairman, Mr. Joseph Egbe, the Clan Head of Egbe Community, Buturo Thomas Agbeh and the Officer in charge of Health Centre Egbe, Mrs Fatima Offumvariously appreciated the magnanimity of the Ekoi Association of North America medical outreachdescribing the benevolence of the members of the Association as a genuine demonstration of love for their fatherland and being sensitive to the agonizing medical provision at home.

The people lauded the Association’s effort to keep tap with their homeland, asserting that, by their constant touch, it will leverage on the desired wellbeing of the citizenries, promoting development of the rural dwellers, as well as setting pace forpeaceful coexistence and reducing the burning hardship experienced in the land and prayed solemnly that, God should increase the financial frontiers of Members of Ekoi Association of North America, keeping them in prosperous stability, sustenance of their outreach and a healthy longevity of life.  

Among the items donated include; complete Hospital Beddings, Refrigerators, Blood Sugar testing machines, Blood pressure machines etc.
