Bingham University, Karu is set to confer degrees upon more than 1,576 students across various disciplines on Saturday 15th of November 2025 .
Professor Haruna Kuje Ayuba the
Vice Chancellor of Bingham University, made this known while briefing newsmen on Tuesday .
“All the 1,576 graduands were found worthy in both characters and learning and would be awarded first degree in various disciplines for which they were trained in the 2024/2025 academic session. “
“For the postgraduate programmes, a total of 460 graduands were found worthy in both character and learning to be awarded various postgraduate degrees. “
Our correspondent reports that Bingham University was established by the Evangelical Church Wining All (ECWA) in 2005.
In his words “The University is not only celebrating the academic achievements of it’s graduands but also a celebration of the institution’s two decades of commitment to educational excellence, spiritual development, institutional growth and societal development.
“I congratulate all our graduands on behalf of the BOT, Council, Management, Senate, Staff and all Stakeholders of the University. “
To demonstrate our commitment to efficient and effective service delivery to our students, their certificates will be ready for collection after the convocation ceremony. “
He added that some events have been emarked which would show case some of the modest achievements of the University as it’s celebration of it’s 20th anniversary .
The Vice Chancellor further said ” The founding fathers envisioned a university that would be conventional in nature but one that incorporates core values of the Christian faith. Our vision is to be a world-class conventional university in a Christ-centered environment while our mission statement is to produce graduates that have both knowledge and skills for self-reliance and in the fear of Christ.
Today, the university has a total of 15 Faculties, 63 Departments that offer 48 undergraduate and 59 postgraduate programmes.
The main campus is here in Karu while the Teaching Hospital and College of Medical Sciences are in Jos Campus.
Professor Haruna Kuje Ayuba also said the ECWA President and Chairman of Bingham University Board of Trustees, Rev Dr Job Ayuba Bagat Mallam is the Chief Host for the convocation ,while the Chancellor and chairman of the ceremony is the Esu Karu, His Royal Highness, Pharmacist (Dr) Luka Baba Panya.
” Let me also use this medium to appreciate past and present BOT members of the University; past and present Chancellor; Past and present Pro-Chancellors and Governing Councils; Past Vice-Chancellors and Management; Senate, Past and Present Principal Officers, Staff, Students; parents, NUC, Other Professional Accrediting Bodies, JAMB and, all our friends and strategic partners of the University for contributing to the growth and development of Bingham University. Through their efforts, Bingham University is making its mark in the comity of universities nationally and globally,”he added .
