The APC Faithful, the umbrella body of all registered All Progressives Congress (APC) support groups in Langtang South Local Government Area of Plateau State on Tuesday , reaffirmed it’s party supremacy, unity, and internal discipline, while disowning unrecognized groups parading themselves as APC structures in the area.
The declaration was made at a press conference held at the APC Secretariat in Mabudi, where the leader of the APC Faithful, Nimzing Dadi, addressed journalists and party members on recent political developments within the local government.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Dadi clarified that the APC Faithful remains the only recognized umbrella body of APC support groups in Langtang South, noting that there are 56 duly registered APC groups operating under its platform.
He warned against the activities of groups such as the so-called Langtang South APC Vanguard, describing them as unknown, unregistered, and illegitimate within the APC structure.
According to him, such groups have not followed the constitutional process of registration at ward levels and therefore lack the authority to speak or act on behalf of the party.
“The APC Faithful will not tolerate impersonation, indiscipline, or the promotion of tribal sentiments under the guise of party politics,” Dadi said, adding that any group promoting division or tribalism stands in clear violation of the party’s core values.
The gathering, which witnessed a large turnout of party leaders and supporters, also featured a strong endorsement of Distinguished Senator Simon Bako Lalong and Hon. Prince Vincent Venman Bulus for continuity into the 2027 general elections.
While endorsing Senator Lalong, the APC Faithful highlighted his achievements during his tenure as Governor of Plateau State, particularly the completion of the Mabudi General Hospital, which had been abandoned for political reasons, and its upgrade with ultra-modern medical equipment valued at billions of naira.
The group also commended Lalong for what it described as the liberation of the Tarok people through the creation of additional districts across Tarokland, especially in Langtang South, where districts increased from one to eight, alongside the historic establishment of the Byan Chiefdom.
Hon. Prince Vincent Venman Bulus, the current Representative of Langtang North and South Federal Constituency, was equally endorsed for his grassroots focused representation and visible impact across the constituency.
In a related development, the APC Faithful formally welcomed Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, into the All Progressives Congress, describing his decision to join the party as a significant boost to APC unity and strength in the state. The group emphasized that the welcome was in the spirit of party growth and reconciliation, without any declaration on future electoral contests.
The press conference and endorsement meeting were attended by APC stakeholders from across Langtang South, led by the APC Stakeholders Chairman, Nicholas Vongsing, alongside ward chairmen, chairladies, party executives, and numerous party supporters.
The APC Faithful concluded by calling on the public and the media to disregard any statements or endorsements not issued or sanctioned by recognized APC structures, reaffirming its commitment to party supremacy, unity, and electoral victory in 2027.
