RE: ARISE TV INTERVIEW, KWARA APC INTERNAL MATTERS, AND THE RECKLESS MISREPRESENTATION BY A FACILE MEDIA OPERATIVE
This response is issued in firm correction of the reckless allegations and distorted narrative circulated by one Lateefat, an S.A. Media to the Chairman of Offa Local Government, who operates under the pseudo identity “Queen Arewa”; a faceless online personality without verifiable pedigree, credibility, or character worthy of serious engagement. But it is important to address the record, not the noise.
THE ARISE TV INTERVIEW: FACTS VS FABRICATION
At no point did Mallam Abdullahi Abdulmajeed attack His Excellency Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the APC leadership in Kwara State, or any government institution during his Arise Television interview.
His comments were strictly confined to:
- Internal party processes
- Expectations of internal democracy
- Stakeholder concerns around the governorship primary
- Political legitimacy and institutional integrity
The attempt to convert process commentary into personal or institutional hostility is false, misleading, and politically motivated.
Mallam Abdulmajeed remains a committed stakeholder within the APC and a consistent supporter of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s governance legacy with more contributions and impact within government records and the political system far more than any level that such infantile media bandit can ever attain through engagements that characterize you as nothing more than a low life attack dog.
ON GOVERNOR ABDULRAHMAN ABDULRAZAQ AND INTERNAL DEMOCRACY
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq remains the undisputed leader of the APC in Kwara State and a central figure in the historic O To Ge political transformation and Mallam Abdulmajeed remains one of his ardent loyalists who continue to promote his records of performance at national and international levels of public discourse far from the reach of glorified whatssap data girls like the author of that rabid article. However, acknowledging leadership does not silence political reflection. Internal democracy does not mean uniform silence and party supremacy does not mean suspension of legitimate political discourse.
The APC primary has been concluded. That outcome stands. But discussion on process integrity remains valid within any democratic structure.
Also, it must be clearly corrected that the claim that “a candidate has emerged conclusively” is not consistent with the official position of the APC National Secretariat. The National Publicity Secretary of the Party, Mr Felix Morka, has clearly stated severally that:
No primary committee at any level has the constitutional authority to independently announce or finalise a candidate outside the ratification and declaration framework of the National Secretariat.
The party’s national structure retains final constitutional authority on declaration processes. Therefore, the question arises:
● If the matter is truly settled, why does the official national position still require procedural closure?
● Why is controversy still being generated around a process that is, by constitutional design, not yet fully concluded?
These are legitimate questions within democratic party governance.
It is intellectually dishonest to suppress legitimate concerns by prematurely declaring closure where constitutional processes remain active.
ON EFCC, FALSE CLAIMS, AND DELIBERATE MISINFORMATION
For the avoidance of doubt: Mallam Abdullahi Abdulmajeed is not a subject of any EFCC investigation relating to his stewardship at Harmony Holdings Limited or any public office.
Any contrary claim is false and politically engineered.
It is also necessary to educate the public that EFCC invitations of former public officials are, in many cases, routine administrative clarifications regarding institutional transactions carried out during their tenure not personal indictments. They are often routine fact-finding and documentation exercises, where individuals are invited to clarify institutional transactions that occurred under their official oversight especially if there are disputes or concerns emanating from them even when it involves third parties.
Public office is a trust, and those who occupy it may be called upon to explain institutional actions even after leaving office. In all such engagements involving Mallam Abdulmajeed, his conduct has consistently reflected transparency, professionalism, and institutional integrity. We hope your paymasters will be able to say the same when their routine moments of scrutiny arrive.
ON PUBLIC SERVICE AND HUMAN IMPACT OF STEWARDSHIP
Mallam Abdulmajeed’s public service record is not merely administrative, it is human, structural, and transformative.
His stewardship in Harmony Holdings Limited recorded numerous achievements which includes:
- Rebuilding distressed state-linked institutions from near operational collapse
- Restoring abandoned public assets into functional economic entities
- Stabilising financially distressed subsidiaries to protect jobs and livelihoods
- Reviving diagnostic and healthcare service delivery systems that directly served thousands of citizens
- Repositioning housing and commercial developments abandoned for years into viable economic assets
- Structuring debt resolution frameworks that prevented long-term fiscal paralysis
- Strengthening investment facilitation systems that restored investor confidence in state-linked entities
At the core of his record is not bureaucracy, but impact:
Jobs were preserved, institutions revived, public confidence restored and state assets protected from decay.
This is the record that propaganda seeks to erase, but cannot.
ON PROXIES, COWARDICE, AND FACILE POLITICAL ATTACKS
It is now evident that certain political actors prefer to operate through proxies and faceless commentators rather than engage directly.
It is increasingly clear that those being used to drive these attacks lack both institutional depth and meaningful records of public impact.
Let it therefore be clearly stated that those behind these attacks are not unknown. They are public office holders, they are identifiable and they will not remain insulated indefinitely. If this pattern continues, they will be engaged directly and publicly on matters of record, stewardship, and accountability.Kwara State belongs to all of us. We are all proteges of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON and you do not have a monopoly of determining those who are loyal or disloyal because you belong to a political camp or support a candidate.
FINAL WORD TO THE ATTACK DOG
We will not continue to respond to political intermediaries whose only function is distortion. How can we spend time engaging a faceless personality who came into public notice through a disputed beauty contest which her looks and personality clearly conveys a contradiction of its avowed values. The organisers of the Arewa Offa beauty pageant must currently be regretting that institutional error committed as Lateefat’s personality is already an indictment on the values, integrity and character that the entire event is supposed to model. How do you stoop so low to engage a personality whose relevance is sustained not by achievement, but by manufactured controversy and moral decadence. If there is ever to be scrutiny of the background of such persons, it would not be in terms of governance performance or public service delivery, because there is little or nothing of substance to examine.
Rather, it would naturally shift to questions of:
- Personal misconduct,
- Allegations of indecorous and indecent relations which has continued to taint the images of other ethical ladies in politics
- Moral credibility
- Verbal recklessness and lack of public communication ethics
- General integrity in public discourse
However, this is not a discourse we intend to dignify or descend into.
We will not elevate individuals who thrive on noise and democratisation of lustful ventures to the level of serious engagement. For that reason, we will not make them the subject of our response. We will engage the real masquerades.
ON COMPARATIVE SCRUTINY
We welcome accountability and structured comparison of public records. Mallam Abdulmajeed’s account of stewardship is already being compiled into a detailed public documentation of governance, reform, and institutional transformation. When placed side by side with facts, records will speak clearly and decisively. And when scrutiny begins, it will not be one-directional.
FINAL WORD
Kwara State’s political environment must not be reduced to that of propaganda, anonymous attacks, or manufactured outrage. The real issues remain:
- Integrity of internal party democracy
- Respect for constitutional party processes
- Accountability in political process
- Protection of the governance legacy of Mal. Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq CON.
Mallam Abdulmajeed remains committed to truth, institutional integrity, and structured accountability. But it must now be understood that:
Falsehood will be met with documentation and distortion will be met with facts. Also coordinated attacks will ultimately meet full, structured scrutiny of all actors involved, without exception.
