Appointment as Visiting Associate Professor of Governance and Legislative Studies, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka
I wish to formally announce and express my profound gratitude to the Almighty God for my appointment as Visiting Associate Professor in Governance and Legislative Studies, Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) Business School, Awka*, with effect from 15th September, 2025.
My appointment was conveyed via letter Reference No. NAU/A/R/P/G.02 dated 15th September, 2025, signed by the Registrar of the University, Dr. Chinenye Gloria Okeke.
I am deeply honoured by this appointment by the Governing Council and Management of UNIZIK under the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor. I see this not just as a personal honour, but as a call to contribute my modest experience in legislative practice, governance, public administration and law to the academic development of our nation.
As many of you know, I have served our country as Hon Minister of State for Power, Majority Leader of the House of Representatives (1999-2003) currently serve as Adjunct Lecturer where I teach at National Institute of Legislative and Democratic Studies/University of Benin, and University of Abuja’s Ph.D, Masters and Post Graduate Diploma students.
I am committed to upholding the core values of Nnamdi Azikiwe University – Discipline, Self-Reliance and Excellence – and to giving my best in teaching, research, supervision and mentorship of our students.
I remain committed to the service of our nation through both public service and academia.
