Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the last general election, held a closed-door meeting with former President, Olusegun Obasanjo.
Atiku was the Vice-President to Obasanjo between 1999 and 2007.
The former Vice President arrived the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) Complex, Abeokuta, at about 12.37pm, in company of Sen. Aminu Tambuwal and Liyel Imoke, former Governor of Cross Rivers state.
The purpose of the meeting however remains sketchy, but may not be limited to the political atmosphere in the country.
But when Atiku was accosted by journalists on the purpose of his visit after meeting with Obasanjo for about two hours, he simply said, “I am not going to talk about politics, it is a courtesy visit and I am not going to say anything.”
Also, the duo of Imoke and Tambuwal, who is now a senator representing Sokoto South in the senate, equally refused to comments on the purpose of the visit and discussions with Obasanjo.
