The wife of the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, Dr Martina Nentawe Yilwatda, has extended humanitarian support to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Mangu Town and Pushit communities of Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, reaching over 1,200 beneficiaries with food items and cash assistance.
The intervention was carried out through the Chayah Hope Foundation, founded by Dr Yilwatda, as part of ongoing efforts to support vulnerable families affected by displacement and other humanitarian challenges.
Speaking during the outreach, she said the initiative was driven by the need to provide practical support to affected communities and restore hope to displaced persons facing difficult living conditions.
Dr Yilwatda stressed that compassion must go beyond sentiments and be reflected in actions that improve the lives of vulnerable people.
According to her, although many displaced families continue to face hardship, sustained humanitarian interventions can help restore dignity and rebuild confidence in a better future.
She reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to reaching underserved communities and ensuring that no vulnerable person is left behind.
“Our commitment remains to support vulnerable families and restore hope to those affected by displacement and hardship,” she said.
