Youth group in Plateau South Senatorial District on Sunday eulogised the immediate past Senator representing the District Prof Nora Daduut ,for her contribution to the development of the district as well as providing quality representation while in the National Assembly .
The group also berated what they called some sponsored media reports that the Senator performed poorly while at the Senate ,stressing that this are mere cheap lies aimed to malign the Senator who has done credible
well and called on the public to disregarded the report .
Spokesman of the Youth group Comrade Titus Cornelius Gabyong , in a statement made available to our correspondent in Jos said We must confess that Senator Daduut worked actively with Youths while she was in the Senate.
” She carried ,the Youths ,Women and elderly in governance “
” We are passing a vote of confidence on Senator Daduut for the good works she did to the Senatorial district in the National Assembly ,despite her short stay in the Senate ,she has been able to touch the lives of her constituents and we are grateful to her and pray God continues to take her higher .”
As Youths of Plateau South ,Our heads are high because our Senator Prof Nora Ladi Daduut performed excellently well ,as she attracted several projects to the Senatorial district.”
” Senator Daduut did not let us down while serving in the National assembly, as her several projects are scattered across the Senatorial district .
” Our Mother Prof Daduut in her two years in the National assembly was able to empower thousands of Women ,Youths and the elderly , she also equipped 6 Primary Healthcare Centres worth millions of naira in her constituency to improve the healthcare infrastructure. , She has renovated schools ,and several other projects in the zone ,she is a blessing to the Constituency .
We are happy to note that Senator Daduut quarterly empowered her constituents as most of them were empowered with items ranging from tricycles, tractors ,mini tillers , Motorcycles, and several other farming implements .
” She has trained over 1000 unemployed youths in her Senatorial district with various skills .”
” We find it laughable as Youths ,that a group is accusing our Senator of anti party activities ,this is not true as it is public knowledge in the Southern Senatorial district that Senator Prof Nora Daduut who mobilised us alongside women of the zone campaigned and worked with her to ensure victory for her party the APC in the Presidential election, the National assembly election , Governorship election as we as the state assembly election.”
“Our Senator has made her mark in the National assembly and we the Youths of the Senatorial district are happy ,we would continue to support her ,we call on the People of the public to disregard any false report been peddled by mischief makers .”
The group, comprising of youth who are members of the APC across the 6 local government councils of Plateau South also said it was disheartening that despite all her positives attributes and records of achievements “some callous people can still stay somewhere and cast aspersion on the Senator who has been working with zeal and commitment to ensure a better and greater APC in her Senatorial district ,Plateau and the country”.
Senator Daduut who was a member of the TINUBU/SHETTIMA Women Presidential Campaign team assigned to the strategic Planning Directorate before the general election constituted a team in the six local government councils of her district and the the group went round to rural areas to campaign for the APC from top to bottom.”
” She donated vehicles, printed T shirts and even supported all Candidates with financial and moral support.”
” We want to commend Senator Daduut for always being in touch with her constituents at the grassroots unlike other Lawmakers who are quick to abandon their people immediately they stepped thier foot in the National Assembly.
” We laud our mummy Senator Daduut for encouraging women and Youths to get involved in politics and process of governance.”
They also applauded Daduut for her youth- and women friendly policies and programmes in the her Senatorial district, which they said, have brought the younger ones together to chart a new course for the future.
