A social political group in Akwa Ibom State known as Progressive Ambassadors, has accused Senator Godswill Akpabio as the man behind the purported suspension of Senator Ita Enang and the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Obong Umana Okon Umana from the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The group described Senator Akpabio as a desperado who would do everything within his space to clinch onto power.
Addressing newsmen in Uyo, the leaders of the group Isantim Edet Ekpe and the secretary, Barr. Edidiong Ubong, described the purported suspension of the two party leaders as a laughable adventure from the desperate Akpabio.
The group wondered why Senator Godswill Akpabio, a political new comer in APC could assume the position of a god and wants everybody to bow down for him.
They likened Senator Godswill Akpabio as the devil who came into APC to steal, kill and destroy which the group leaders noted his entry into APC has destabilized the party to a zero level.
The duo recalled that the suspended leaders are Ibibio sons Akpabio has consistently fought over the years and would do nothing in ensuring their downfall.
“We can only see Akpabio as a drowning man looking for who to sink with. It was because of Akpabio’s high-handedness that the duo of Senator Ita Enang and Umana Umana left PDP to APC to just to avoid him.
“We can recall that during Akpabio’s eight years reign of terror, many sons and daughters of Ibibio nation were killed, maim and harassed out of office led by his wife, Unoma Akpabio.
“We are just wondering why Akpabio should use his stooge, the self-made state APC chairman, Stephen Ntukekpo and the factional chapter leaders of APC in Nsit Ubium local government area to cause havoc.
“We call on the world to know that Akpabio is the cause of disunity in Akwa Ibom State APC. He believes he should be worshipped by all and people should tremble at the mention of his name.
“ Every APC member in Akwa Ibom State is aware of the pending defeat of Akpabio in the 2023 election, but as a power monger, he would not rest at nothing to stay afloat by blackmailing his perceived enemies in order to get political soft landing-Ministerial appointment.
“We want to assure Akpabio that he will fail in his local government but Tinubu will win in most units within his political domain.
“We urge members of the public not to be deceived by the ongoing political charade sponsored by Akpabio and his men. It is a phase that will soon be put behind.”
