The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) continues to face intense scrutiny as it uploads additional results to its IREV (Independent Result Viewing) portal, which many are now calling into question.
Despite the suspicious timing of the uploads, some dated as late as October 9th, weeks after the official election results were announced, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is still leading by a margin of over 30,000 votes.
The newly uploaded results, which many observers are calling “doctored,” have raised serious concerns about the integrity of the electoral process.
The results carry inconsistent timestamps, with some showing dates from late September and early October, long after INEC had declared a winner.
This has led to growing criticism of the commission’s ability to manage an efficient and transparent election.
The crux of the issue lies in the delays and discrepancies in INEC’s handling of the electoral process.
Normally, results are expected to be uploaded in real-time from polling units immediately after they are announced. However, these results are surfacing weeks later, raising questions about potential manipulation.
“Even with the newly uploaded doctored results, PDP is still leading with over 30,000 votes,” a party official confidently stated.
As the PDP prepares to bring the matter to court, the party has expressed confidence that the evidence is overwhelmingly in their favour.
“We are ready for the legal process. The APC’s petty attempts to delay the inevitable will not work. We will inspect every document, review the BVAS machines, and the truth will come out,” a PDP spokesperson said.
The party also reassured its supporters that they are still on track to reclaim their mandate.
INEC’s credibility is now on the line, and the coming weeks will determine whether the commission can restore public trust or if it will continue to be mired in controversy.
For now, the PDP says its lead remains firm, and they are confident of a favourable outcome at the election petition tribunal.
