Decampees from PDP other Political Parties Vehemently Reject Gov. Mutfwang’s Alleged Plan to Join APC

Says Allowing Gov. Mutfwang to cross over to APC is like Allowing Pharaoh to cross the Red Sea.

Group under the auspices of Decampees from PDP, YPP, ADC, APGA, LP, PRP, ADP, and other political on Tuesday vehemently rejected Gov Caleb Mutfwang’s alleged plan to join the APC.

The group made the disclosure through it’s Coordinator Hon. Mutbel Danlami in a press briefing which took place at the Plateau State APC Secretariat Kalwa House Jos the Plateau State capital.

The group stated that”
We, the undersigned members and political stakeholders who decamped from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and other political parties to the All Progressives Congress (APC), wish to categorically and vehemently express our opposition to the alleged plans of Governor Caleb Mutfwang to join the APC”.

They said, “Our defection to the APC was not driven by personal gain or political adventure but by a deep conviction that Plateau State needs a change, a change built on inclusiveness, fairness, and purposeful leadership”.

“Unfortunately, the PDP under Governor Mutfwang’s leadership has been everything but exclusive. His administration has become a symbol of cluelessness, arrogance, exclusion, and administrative failure, where loyalty is rewarded with neglect, and genuine service is met with disdain”. He said.

Hon. Danlami further revealed that, “Many of us worked tirelessly, day and night, risking our political capital and reputation to ensure the success of the PDP during the last election. Yet, in return, we were met with betrayal, humiliation, and disappointment”.

He said, “the governor’s leadership style alienated those who contributed to his rise and demoralized even the most committed party faithful”.

“His inability to carry people along and his penchant for selective governance where a few selected groups of his tribes in government and family members have become the alpha and Omega of the collective destiny of plateau people”.

He said, “this is totally unacceptable and condemnable by all people of good conscience, and are clear evidence that he is not a team player and does not represent the progressive spirit that defines the APC”.

Hon. Danlami also disclosed that “Our decision to leave the PDP was a decision to escape from an oppressive, unaccountable, and visionless style of governance”.

” It was a decision to find solace and political rehabilitation within the ranks of the APC, a party known for openness, internal democracy, and developmental politics”.

He also stated that, “today we are deeply concerned by reports suggesting that Governor Mutfwang is making moves to defect to the APC, yo us, and indeed to the people of Plateau State, such a move would be a betrayal of conscience and a desecration of the very values that drew us to the APC”.

He said, “allowing him to cross over would be, in spiritual terms, like allowing Pharaoh to cross the Red Sea, something even God Himself did not permit, because it would have led to the destruction of His people”.

“We must learn from that lesson of history: mixing oppression with liberation destroys the purpose of freedom.

They call on the state and national leadership of the APC to take this matter seriously and protect those of them who have found political refuge in the party.

They said, “APC should not become a dumping ground for those who have failed in governance and lost credibility with the people”.

Hon. Danlami also stated that bringing in Governor Mutfwang would not only disrupt the peace within the party but would also jeopardize the trust of thousands of decampees and loyal members who believe in the integrity and vision of the APC.

“Our plea is simple, let the APC remain a home for progressives, for reformers, and for those who seek to build Plateau State and Nigeria with sincerity of purpose”.

They said, “let it not become an avenue for recycling rejected leaders or rewarding failed governance.

Hon. Danlami stated that, “We trust in the wisdom of our great party’s leadership to do what is right and to preserve the values of justice, fairness, and integrity upon which the APC was founded.
