…Commends NNPC Limited, Partners for Pace of Work
The Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo, accompanied by the Group Chief Executive Officer, NNPC Limited, Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, and the Company’s Executive Vice President (Gas, Power, and New Energy), Olalekan Ogunleye, on Thursday, toured the starting point of the landmark Ajaokuta–Kaduna–Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline Project.
The Minister noted that upon completion, the pipeline network will deliver economic opportunities, boost power supply, and drive national industrialisation, ushering in a new era of energy and economic security for Nigeria.
Speaking during the visit, the GCEO of NNPC Limited, Engr. Ojulari linked the project to tangible national development, reflecting on Nigeria’s industrial heritage while projecting a future resurgence driven by gas as a transition fuel through the AKK Pipeline.
The visit further reinforces the Federal Government’s and NNPC Limited’s commitment to the timely delivery of the Project, which has strategic national importance for the country.
